Hi there, my name is Khadijah. I am a wife, a mother of two (well three, I have a fur baby) and as you know, a photographer. Each of those aspects of my life has heightened my love for photography. I was born and raised on Long Island and I haven't left. I love ice cream, I love being swept away by a romantic book, and Jesus is my foundation. I love to laugh, I have a bubbly personality and I am so ready to meet you!

My story
I didn't fall in love with weddings until I got to see them from a creative perspective. In high school I interned with a wedding planner, and got to see how a wedding day is created from scratch. The finding of THE dress, the color scheme and the little details that made the wedding day a story to tell. I remember it like it was yesterday, little Khadijah (and I'm still little Khadijah - I am only 5'0") fluffed a bride's dress preparing her to walk down the aisle, to start the journey of a story that her and her soon-to-be-husband were committed to creating. The bride looked at her father, he wiped a tear from her eye, they both nodded, slowly the church doors opened and together they proceeded to walk towards the altar. It was at that moment where I knew wedding photography was what I wanted to do. That was two different kinds of love I got to witness that day. The love of a family showing their support to a couple, and the love of two people becoming one. To be able to witness that was such a privilege.
Once I felt that spark in my heart, I went to school and got a B.F.A in photography. After college, I opened up my business and I got my foot in the wedding photography industry door. I interned, assisted and second shot for many photographers giving me plenty of experience (which is great news! I know my way around a wedding). I got married and had 2 kids (I still can't believe I have 2 kids). Each milestone that I reached made me want to photograph other peoples' milestones. I remember the excitement I had when I got engaged. I remember not wanting to wait a year to plan a wedding (my husband and I planned our wedding in 4 months) and having the most amazing wedding. I remember giving birth to both of my sons. Time is flying and they are continuously growing and I get to go back and look at pictures of them when they were babies. I wanted to provide a service for other people like me wanting to keep those memories alive. So when I say I am here to make each moment of love last forever I mean just that! I want to document the love that you have when you first have your baby or the love that you have when you are walking them down the aisle. The love that you have with your significant other when you both are saying yes to each other. The love that you have when you both are committing to a new life story as a Mr. & Mrs. With each milestone your love grows, and I am honored to be able to make those memories of love last forever.
